Things have been really quiet in the creative spaces of my world these last couple weeks, while the administrative side of Hummingbird Highway has been a-buzz.
Regardless, just this week, I began the process of adding the last border on the Big Day quilt.

I'm using the same mini-print for hte border that I used for the bird blocks, in a slightly different color - pale blue, instead of cream. (The fabric line is Brielle Garden by QT Fabrics)
The overall effect is for a really calm, quilt ,with the birds taking center-stage, almost like a photo album.
The next big question will be how to quilt the project. And, of course, pulling the pattern together. That's going to take a bit of time, I'm afraid.
Since, I'll have a bit of down-time on the upcoming flights between central New York and San Diego where I board the Hawaii quilt cruise, I've been busy assembling little project packs.
There will be hearts, and there will be stitching!
Good stuff!
