I've created a very aggressive business plan for myself this year.
I love having a plan, and I thrive when the projects I have prioritized follow a detailed timeline. Some things slip while others advance. Everything seems to take longer than expected, even so, stuff is moving forward. It's crazy, invigorating, and frustrating all at the same time.
I'm kinda built for that crazy combo. As a recovering accountant, I'm used to having monthly and yearly goals, with mad-dashes in between, so it's ALL good. . .
However, there are days when a little bit of decadence comes on the radar and you simply have to respond.
That's where I was on Saturday. Chilly and cloudy around here, and the thought of brownies popped into my head and would not let go of me.
Whatcha you gonna do??

My response: I pulled out my favorite brownie recipe - don't we all have one of these? This one is particularly tasty and outrageously easy. As an added bonus, except for one 3-quart saucepan and a wooden spoon for mixing, there are no dishes or bowls to clean.
Checked the pantry, yep, everything I need is there, thanks to pandemic preparedness protocols. As we all know, I'm sure, brownie ingredients are considered essential supplies.
Then I started melting and mixing.

No more than 10 or 15 minutes later, the future brownies are spread in the pan and are oven-ready. Queue mouth watering.

Once cooled, they are a cakey-gooey-yummy work of chocolatey perfection!

And there were enough to have and to stow away in the freezer for future decadence emergencies!
