Back in April during the quilting retreat I attended in western New York, my table mate and I made a point of venturing out into the nearby town each day to check out the local shops, and pick up a few snacks and beverages. One of the shops we visited had a large display of stickers at the checkout counter.
The stickers included detailed nature drawings and funny, snarky quotes. Here are a few examples. We both bought a few, and I didn't think very much of it.
Then stickers, similar to these, started showing up everywhere in my world! Little did I know, as I was informed, this is a 'thing' especially with younger folks (not just young-at-heart people like me).
I have to admit I am a tiny bit obsessed! My iPad and my weekend coffee mug (and the back of my phone case) will never quite be the same!
Have you caught on to this trend? If so, why haven't you told me!?
*Wink!*

I have loved stickers for the longest time. At least 40 years. I carefully try to peel off my Flock sticker from the package. Usually they tear but one wasn’t too bad so I put it in my “book of stickers” anyway. Some I know won’t come off by looking at them so I cut around it…I have to glue “re-used” stickers since the glue sticks more to the package but that’s okay. I used to collect stickers from the bananas when they were putting unusual designs on them. One lady I order from includes 1 or 2 stickers, usually birds!!! in my order. I guess I was in “a thing” before it was a thing. I even save a stamp because they can be pretty too. I started putting them in my sticker book when The Classic Monsters came out…Dracula, the Mummy, etc. I have Scooby Doo, the Bugs Bunny clan, they have released all kinds of animal stickers over the years. You have to get them when they release them because some sell out quickly. They just recently released HUMMINGBIRDS! While stamps are small and doubt you’d want them on a cup, I love them in my album for whatever reason.
You are ahead of your time!
