With temperatures well in the 90s for part of this week, it has occurred to me binding quilts might be better suited for cooler weather--I know I could do the binding by machine, but I find the hand-sewn part relaxing.
That being said, progress continues on the small mound of quilts that have been on their way to finish-ville.
Not that anyone is keeping score (well, *maybe* I am), of the four quilts targeted for completion a few months ago
One is done, quilted and bound, and only needs a label (and photograph for the record)
Two are quilted, but don't have a completed binding yet, nor a label.
One is partly quilted and on the back burner while deadline-oriented small projects take center stage for a week or two.
Photo above is from last week's article for a refresher. The one on top with the yellow churndash blocks is done. The scrappy, colorful Pick-up Sticks quilt is in progress. And the middle bear paw has flannel backing - that one can wait until the heat breaks.
Focus, focus, focus!
