Don’t look for the Splendid Fairywren at your North American feeder. This striking small bird with an equally beautiful song is a resident of western and central Australia where it can often be found foraging in shrubs and dense foliage where it searches for and feeds on insects such as ants, beetles, and grasshoppers. As of August 2020, it is also a member of The FLOCK.
