The FLOCK Lite – Killdeer

The Killdeer is considered a shore bird, but is frequently found away from open water in expansive lawns, golf courses, or open fields. The bird, which is about the same size as an American Robin with longer legs, is named for its loud, characteristic call, “kill-DEER, kill-DEER’’ typically vocalized in flight.

The Killdeer joined The FLOCK in June 2021.
