This week, I'm popping in real quick so I can get back to work on a few things that I really, REALLY want to wrap up before a bit of travel coming up in just a couple weeks.
Time away is coming up fast, but time is going slowly on daily progress on the diamond quilt project that I pulled out of my stash a few weeks ago.
The good news is that I've passed the halfway mark. Of the 50 blocks needed, at last count, there are just over 30 that are complete. After these blocks are assembled, I've got some sandwiching and quilting to do--on a few projects, not just this one. Never a dull moment around here . . .
The Spring Purge and Organize project is moving along. All that found space under my sewing table is providing easy-access storage for relatively current projects. I got into a bad stretch of having everything-I-might-want-to-work-on stacked up unceremoniously around my evening comfy stitch space - creating an unappealing stitchy fortress.

I hope that having this accessible space occupied with on-deck projects I can now better focus on one thing at a time. Successful multi-tasking is a myth, and it is also very messy. I'm already feeling more productive with this space being put to better use.

After breaking my ankle on February 1, I reached an important 10-week milestone yesterday. Daily stretching and strength-building exercises, weekly physical therapy, and ever-increasing walking around the neighborhood have allowed much improved mobility. I'm not 100% yet, but I invested in a good pair of sneakers and inserts this week.
I'm not typically a sneaker person, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do! It feels good to be walking (almost) normally again; stairs are still a bit of a challenge, but improving.
Thank goodness, I broke my left foot and not my right, and I could still drive and use my sewing machine pedal!
Thank goodness for plenty of hand stitching projects.
Thank goodness for railings on stairways.
Thank goodness for 10 weeks of good advice and exercise, despite the frustration at times.
Thank goodness!
