Quilting continues on the purple pin wheel project that emerged from my storage area as a stack of blocks a few months ago. With plenty of stops and starts, the quilt is slowly making its way to completion. In my mind, I named the quilt after Barney, the purple dinosaur.
After finishing the blanket stitching around the machine applique flowers around the border, I moved back to the quilt center with my walking foot attached.
Gentle curves cross in the center of each pinwheel with a continuous thread.
The curved lines are done, now, I need to decide on a scheme for the alternating unpieced blocks.
Thinking cap in place, I'm waiting for inspiration, and may set the quilt aside for a short spell while inspiration simmers.
Here's a closer look at the quilt's interior. The curvy lines aren't perfect, but they are functional.
The non-pinwheel blocks, the setting triangles, and border fill are left to be quilted before the binding is applied. Still plenty to do.
