It has been a crazy week around here! On Monday, morning things got off to a great start with a trip to the doctors office to remove the stitches on my steadily improving bone-spur-no-more foot. I am back on my feet, a mite slower than usual, with a positive report from my doctor. Many thanks for all the well wishes last week!

I've been making cookies (because that's what you do with Christmas less than a week away). On Tuesday evening before dinner, I had just enough time to mix up a double batch of chocolate chips (Dave's favorite) to bake later.
I gathered all the ingredients, mixed everything up and dumped it all in a bowl for the fridge.
Something seemed odd about the batter, but I just could not put a finger on it, then I started to clean up the counter to get ready to make dinner.
And there it was.
I measured out the flour and dry ingredients into a bowl, which was still on the counter, with the rest of the batter (chips, nuts, and all) snuggled in the refrigerator.
Mixer, batter, almost everything came back out onto the counter to add the flour and finish the job, in a little bit of reverse order.
No one will care.
Since we're soon to be in between holidays. I'm taking a little break. Find me in the sewing studio, but not online. No new blog posts next week, but count on me to be right back in the groove to welcome the New Year in January.
My very best wishes for the happiest of holidays to you and yours!
