My niece is expecting and the baby shower is coming up at the beginning of November. So you-know-who needs a baby-shower gift, pronto!

Inspired by a Row by Row pattern from a few years ago, I started sketching.
Then printing in supersize mode.
Then tracing.
Then cutting, fusing, and layering.
The colors in the detail photo above are a little off.
In the daylight, you can see the colors a bit better and as well as a view of the full design, even though the layers are full of safety pins.
Momma is sprinkling her baby elephant with a little bit of water mixed with a whole lotta love.

I have only just started the quilting, but it should be complete in plenty of time for the baby shower.
In case you're wondering, no, this isn't going to be a pattern. This quilt is going to be 'one and done' for the new arrival in early 2023.
