What are the 'terrible 'tweens,' you may be asking. It's not what you might think - there are no teenagers here, for example.
The 'tweens' in my world are a lot like the 'spinnies' - when you've got a load of small, almost finished projects that just need an hour or two of dedicated time. And a few bigger projects have been puttering along waiting for their turn at focused effort in the sewing room and on the desktop. So, the 'tweens feel like you're in between a bunch of little finishes and a bunch of big starts.
This is what my 'tween list looks like today . . .
I finally made a quilt label for "Barney" - the purple pinwheel I've been working on over the last several years.

The set-aside purple pinwheel blocks were pulled off a storage shelf for completion earlier this year. Follow its story working backward through the links here.
About 30 minutes to stitch the label to the back of the quilt, and this project is ready for its new home!
This quilt was finished back in 2006. Over the last few years it has been in constant use as a night-time birdcage cover.
It desperately needs a good laundering, but first the binding has to be repaired. An hour's worth, if that, of stitchy time to repair several short binding sections.

The Heart Fulls project has occupied lots of my time lately - both in making Heart-shaped ornaments for the local hospice and in converting the concept into kits and patterns.
The Cardinal design is up next, but first some samples and more pattern work. This is a big 'tween project waiting its turn! Another week or so and it will be ready!
The FLOCK should sound familiar to you if you've been following along for any stretch of time. New pattern releases are wrapping up at the end of this year, but that's not the end of the line for The FLOCK. A mix-and-match block pattern concept is in the works. Just this week, I finished the first draft for the piecing instructions 17 block patterns.

I simply can't wait to start making a sample with my FLOCK blocks! And I think this project will be a great way for those who feel they might be late to the FLOCK party can get right into the action. However, there are a few BIG steps to be done and a few little tweeny things that need to get out of the way before I can provide distraction-free focus.

The Hawaii quilt cruise originally and infamously scheduled for April 2020 is scheduled to set sail at long last in January. (Oooh! Exciting!)
Most of the prep work is done for our on-board mystery project, but I still have a few more details to complete. For example, I've got some amazing door prizes that need to get packed up and shipped out.
It shouldn't take too long to do, and it's not a big project. However, I need to focus on organizing the goodies for shipment, making this a pre-tween and post-tween candidate for my to-do list. Fortunately, the project kits are already shipped and this is the last big bit to go (besides me, that its!).
That's my Terrible Tween list to tackle this week. There are still more things to do besides this list, but I'm taking one thing at a time. Are you dealing with any 'terrible 'tweens' too?
